Accessible Route

⏱ Duration: ~2.5 h 🚶 1.2 km ♿ Accessible

Designed for wheelchair users and those who find walking hard: only flat, accessible spaces, avoiding the Way of the Cross and the old town's stairways. Route checked in person on site.

Schematic route: the lines connect the stops, they are not walking directions.

The Stops

  1. 01 Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie The forecourt is wide and flat; for indoor access ask the volunteers.
  2. 02 Church of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (Renzo Piano) Fully accessible: the most comfortable building in the whole complex.
  3. 03 Tomb of Saint Pio The route to the tomb is accessible; on busy days let the staff know you are there.
