Rotunda of Saint John the Baptist

In the old town stands the Rotunda of Saint John the Baptist, a circular building of very ancient and debated origins: tradition sees in it a baptistery linked to the cult of Saint John, from which the town's very name is said to derive.
It is worth the walk from the sanctuary to discover the oldest face of San Giovanni Rotondo, far from the feast-day crowds.
